Samantha Carlyon
While earning her degree in Public Relations & Writing, Samantha was contacted by a local hair salon, requesting her help in managing their social media pages. Since then, she has taken on more clients, roles, and responsibilities than she ever anticipated. Samantha struggled with balancing her full-time job as a marketing coordinator and campaign manager with her freelance duties.
When she & Blake decided to start White Lyon Media, Samantha found the flexibility and support to provide the quality of service she had been striving for. Now, you can find Samantha in coffee shops in client meetings, on site taking photos and videos, or curled up on her couch creating strategic content calendars. Her favorite part of her job is watching her clients’ faces light up during brainstorming sessions. When she’s not working, Samantha enjoys playing pickleball and board games with her family, doing jigsaw puzzles, and sewing.
Blake Carlyon
After earning his BSBA in Marketing, Blake began his career as a salesman for a local startup. Blake was soon promoted into Sales Operations, and he later took his talents to an enterprise-level company and further expanded his operational skillset. When he felt that he needed to move away from such a large company, he left to work remotely for a smaller company based in Massachusetts. Blake realized he had been craving the startup environment since leaving his first company, so a friend brought him into a local startup as a Director of Sales & Marketing - Blake’s first leadership role. It was here that Blake felt he completed his professional puzzle: he gained the ability to start a department from scratch.
During this time, he realized that his entire life, he had felt the call of entrepreneurship. Blake decided to take his years of operational experience and go out on his own to secure flexibility for himself and his family. Blake’s favorite parts of working for White Lyon Media are the connections and relationships he cultivates and getting to dream with clients. A big dreamer himself, Blake passionately loves every aspect of the small business journey. When he is not working, you can find Blake watching some of his favorite TV shows, playing video games, or searching for the best buffalo chicken sandwich from a small business.
